July 29, 2011 — Internet infrastructure services provider VeriSign announced on Thursday via its quarterly earnings report that CEO Mark McLaughlin is resigning and company founder will return to CEO duties. McLaughlin joined the company in 2000 and has served in the position of CEO for the past two years. VeriSign said that McLaughlin is leaving the company to become CEO of an unnamed private company.

July 29, 2011 — Fiber-optic network infrastructure provider euNetworks Group announced on Friday that it has completed the acquisition of German-based corporate WAN provider TeraGate. euNetworks says this acquisition is a “natural addition” following the LambdaNet acquisition in May, with an enterprise customer base primarily in the German market. Colocation firm LambdaNet has 25 data centers across Germany.
